Two men bailed following deaths of two men, from taking potentially contaminated drugs

Two men arrested after two men died from taking potentially contaminated drugs in Wigan have been bailed. On Monday 21 January 2013, police were called to Wigan Infirmary following the death of a 28-year-old man. He was admitted to hospital after complaining of being unwell.
Police were also made aware of the death of a 19-year-old man at Oldham Hospital on Sunday 20 January 2013 who suffered similar symptoms.
The post mortems are scheduled to take place later this week.
Two men, aged 34 and 33, arrested on suspicion of being concerned in supplying a controlled drug have been bailed until 20 March 2013 and 22 March 2013 respectively.
As part of drug warrants relating to the incident, a 28-year-old woman has been arrested on suspicion of possessing cocaine with intent to supply and a 27-year-old woman has been arrested on suspicion of possessing cocaine.
Both remain in police custody for questioning.
