Mental health bosses are appealing for help to find a ‘vulnerable’ man who has been missing for three months.
Patient John Piggott has not been seen since January after going on leave from hospital to Prestwich in Bury
Greater Manchester Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust chiefs say they are growing increasingly concerned for the 33-year-old’s welfare.
Mr Piggott has reportedly been spotted near Manchester city centre and in Stretford, Trafford since going missing.
In an appeal on GMP Trafford South’s Facebook page, officers warned members of the public not to approach Mr Piggott if they see him, but to contact police.
They said: “He is a vulnerable man and anybody who sees him should not approach him but contact police.”
Mr Piggott has links to Chester, north Wales and Blackpool.
A spokesman for the mental health trust said: “Staff are worried about John’s safety and ask that if anyone knows him, or knows of his whereabouts, they contact the trust as soon as possible.”
Anyone with information is asked to call the trust on 0161 773 9121 or police on 101.
